This deal needs to be redone. The current relationship is lopsided despite improvements, which are even now still less of what is needed to meet 21st century interests/demands. And the CT Whale as an AHL outfit overpays for its usage of the building, and as a result, goes into the cost of concessions and ticket prices.

Not only did he get McDonagh and Valentenko (even though Pyatt seems to be putting together a solid career, not with MTL however), but he cleared the cap space necessary to bring Gaborik on board.

Trading Brian Leetch away during the 03/04 rebuild was just absolutely gut-wrenching, and a lot of fans still have a fight to pick with Sather on the way it was handled. It’s unfortunate that none of the pieces Sather added (aside from the drafting of Sauer) made any impact really with the Rangers, but hindsight is always 20/20. It really pleases me to see that any hatchet was buried when Brian steps into the analyst role with MSG, I love seeing him back with the team in any way.

How about one more game on the point for old times sake, Brian?
