TOMORROW’S GAME:

The Rangers will face-off against the Florida Panthers tomorrow at BankAtlantic Center (7:30 p.m.), in their final game of 2011. The Blueshirts currently rank first in the Atlantic Division standings, and second in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 22-9-4 (48 pts). The Rangers enter the contest having been defeated by the Washington Capitals, 4-1, on Wednesday at Verizon Center to snap their five-game winning streak. The Blueshirts have registered at least one point in 21 of their last 27 games (19-6-2), and are 7-3-0 in their last 10 games. The Panthers enter the contest with a 19-11-7 (45 pts) record to rank third in the Eastern Conference, and have lost three of their last four games (1-2-1). Following tomorrow’s contest, the Rangers will face-off against the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic on Monday, Jan. 2, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (1:00 p.m.).

ROAD WARRIORS READY TO GO ‘BLADING

GREENVILLE, SC - Tonight the Greenville Road Warriors wrap up their home schedule for 2011 by hosting the Florida Everblades at 7:35 p.m. at the BI-LO Center.

The Road Warriors (16-9-2) host Florida (15-13-2) tonight for the eighth of 11 scheduled meetings between the clubs. Fans can follow the action by watching live on America One or listening at greenvilleroadwarriors.com. Greenville is playing its final home game of the season against the Everblades tonight. The Road Warriors have built a 3-1-1 record in the previous five meetings, but Florida came away with an improbable win the last time the teams met. Rylan Galiardi scored a tying goal with seven seconds left in regulation and after a scoreless overtime Florida’s Pat Nagle out-dueled Jasion Missiaen for a 1-0 win in a seven round shootout. The Road Warriors are 4-2-1 against the Everblades this season.

ROAD WARRIORS WEEKLY RELEASE – 12/19 to 12/25/11

GREENVILLE, SC - After claiming five of six points from their three games last week, the Greenville Road Warriors enter this week holding down second place in the South Division. They will try to keep their momentum rolling into Christmas against the Reading Royals who come to town for a pair of games this week.

ROAD WARRIORS LOSE SHOOTOUT IN FLORIDA

GREENVILLE, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors had their six-game home win streak snapped by a 4-3 shootout loss to the Florida Everblades on Saturday night. The Road Warriors‘ record slipped to 14-8-1 on the season, but the point for making it to overtime coupled with South Carolina’s loss to Gwinnett moved Greenville into second place in the division.

SECOND OF THREE-IN-THREE FOR ROAD WARRIORS

GREENVILLE, SC - Tonight the Greenville Road Warriors play the middle game of a weekend three-in-three as they host the Florida Everblades. Faceoff is set for 7:05 p.m. at the BI-LO Center.

The Road Warriors (14-8-0) host Florida (12-13-2) tonight for the seventh of 11 scheduled meetings between the clubs. Fans can follow the action by watching live on America One or listening at  www.greenvilleroadwarriors.com. Greenville will try to build off of last night’s 3-0 win over Florida and continue to close the gap on South Carolina and Gwinnett in the South Division standings. Florida, meanwhile, is trying to turn around its fortunes as last night’s loss extended its losing streak to three. The Everblades have lost four of their last five games overall.

GREENVILLE, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors were backed by Jason Missiaen’s second consecutive shutout in a 3-0 win over the Florida Everblades on Friday night at the BI-LO Center. The win improved Greenville to 14-8-0 on the season.

WARRIORS NOT ROAD BUT HOME

The Greenville Road Warriors face off against the Florida Everblades tonight in the first of two meetings this week between the clubs at the BI-LO Center.

The Road Warriors (13-8-0) host Florida (12-12-2) tonight for the sixth of 11 scheduled meetings between the clubs. Fans can follow the action by watching live on America One or listening at  www.greenvilleroadwarriors.com. Tonight is Florida’s first visit to the BI-LO Center since winning 5-2 on November 5. The Road Warriors won the first two games against Florida this season but are 1-2-0 since against the Everblades which includes a 5-0 loss in Florida on November 19 – the most recent meeting between the teams. With tonight’s game, it looks like one of two trends will have to buckle. The Road Warriors have held opponents to two goals or less in each of their last five home games, but have kept Florida to two goals or less just once this season. Defense hasn’t been prevalent in the season series, period, as the Road Warriors and Everblades are combining to average 7.6 goals per game.

ROAD WARRIORS SOFT SIDE SHOWING ANNOUNCING A TEDDY BEAR TOSS

The Greenville Road Warriors will host their second-annual Teddy Bear Toss on Friday, December 16 at their game against the Florida Everblades at the BI-LO Center.

“The Teddy Bear Toss is one of our favorite promotions of the season. First, it benefits a great cause – Toys for Tots and second, it creates a really fun atmosphere when fans have the opportunity to throw stuffed animals onto the ice. Everyone with the Road Warriors is looking forward to a great response from our fans, and is hoping to collect more bears for the children this holiday season,” said Road Warriors president and general manager Neil Smith.
