ROAD WARRIORS READY TO GO ‘BLADING

GREENVILLE, SC Tonight the Greenville Road Warriors wrap up their home schedule for 2011 by hosting the Florida Everblades at 7:35 p.m. at the BI-LO Center.

The Road Warriors (16-9-2) host Florida (15-13-2) tonight for the eighth of 11 scheduled meetings between the clubs. Fans can follow the action by watching live on America One or listening at greenvilleroadwarriors.com. Greenville is playing its final home game of the season against the Everblades tonight. The Road Warriors have built a 3-1-1 record in the previous five meetings, but Florida came away with an improbable win the last time the teams met. Rylan Galiardi scored a tying goal with seven seconds left in regulation and after a scoreless overtime Florida’s Pat Nagle out-dueled Jasion Missiaen for a 1-0 win in a seven round shootout. The Road Warriors are 4-2-1 against the Everblades this season.

Tonight the Road Warriors are offering their Throwback Thursday specials which are select $2 draft beers, fountain drinks, hot dogs, and pretzels.   • Jason Missiaen has three shutouts in the month of December and has a .6 goals-against average in his wins this season along with a .983 save percentage.
  • Brandon Wong has scored five goals in his last six games after netting two in his previous 14. Four of his seven goals have been scored against the Everblades.
  • The Road Warriors’ 12 wins against the South Division are the most in the league against divisional foes.
  • Tonight is the midway point of Greenville’s 36-game home schedule. Its .647 win percentage is 4th highest in the East and sixth highest in the league.
  • The Road Warriors have the fourth most power play chances in home games in the ECHL at 71, but have the 12th rated home power play at 18.3 percent.
