In yet another sign that Marc Staal may be out for a LONG time, the New York Rangers have announced that they have signed defenseman Anton Stralman to a deal. While the team does not announce terms, TSN’s Bob McKenzie reported that it is a one-year $900K deal.
Stralman was in the New Jersey Devils’ training camp in the pre-season.
Here is the official release:

According to a TSN Analyst, the Wolf Pack could soon be getting some more help from the parent New York Rangers as Bob McKenzie reports that the Blueshirts have placed center Todd White on waivers. If White clears waivers at noon Saturday he would report to the Wolf Pack. He cleared waivers the first time when the team put him there on October 6th.
Should be interesting to see how this whole thing plays out. Wade Redden has handled it about as well as can be expected. How does White handle it when he’s getting $2,375,000 this season.
Andrew Gross, of The Bergen Record, on his Twitter account is saying this is just a paper transaction.
