RANGERS AND KNICKS TICKETS GOING UP AGAIN

tc06sby56bl1teghmmepYou had to know this was coming. According to the NY Times, Madison Square Garden is spending close to $850 million over three years on renovation. It’s about to change from being The World’s Most Famous Arena to The World’s Most Expensive Arena. You had to know the fans and sponsors are the ones who are going to pay for it. Last season tickets jumped an average of 23%. Well this coming season it’s going up another 9.5% for the Rangers and 4.9% for the Knicks. The only word that came to mind when we read this was, “WOW.”

In the six years since the Foundation’s inception, Lundqvist has inspired thousands of special children through Rangers ticket donations and hosting events.

Proceeds From Sale of Lundqvist’s Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic Mask to Benefit Foundation

The New York Rangers announced today that the $35,000 net proceeds from the sale of goaltender Henrik Lundqvist’s game-worn Winter Classic mask will benefit the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Lundqvist, the spokesperson for the Garden of Dreams, commissioned two masks for the nationally televised outdoor game, with the sole purpose of making the second mask available to raise funds for the Foundation. The sale of the mask through Madison Square Garden’s partnership with Steiner Sports for MSG-Steiner Collectibles, illustrates Lundqvist’s commitment to helping fulfill the Foundation’s mission to make dreams come true for children facing obstacles.

Fans of the Knicks, Rangers, Devils, Islanders and Sabres Urged to Switch Carriers

Despite MSG Media’s attempts to engage Time Warner Cable in good faith negotiations for nearly two years, no agreement is expected to be reached for Time Warner Cable to continue to carry MSG Network and MSG Plus.  Therefore, as of midnight tonight, MSG Network and MSG+ will be dropped from the Time Warner Cable channel lineup, and New York area sports fans will miss exclusive local live coverage of the Knicks, Rangers, Islanders, Devils and Sabres.
